I’m sure by now you’ve come across Seattle glo-fi musician Washed Out. His common name is Earnest Greene and his nu-disco chillwave sound has surely amazed and inspired the best of you. Even if you do lack familiarity, you must surely take a look at his latest work ‘Eyes be Closed’ and while you’re at it listen to some of the other amazing songs of his previous albums: ‘High Times’ and ’Life of Leisure.’
Relaxed synths and soothing vocals all over an almost vintage drumset foundation is what you’ll find with Washed Out. His ambient production is distinguished by hazy indie vocals and resonating melodic sounds. The music still retains very similar low-key elements with an equally hypnotic vibe. He’s been at the piano since the age of three and just 2 years ago he actually broke a world record for the longest solo-artist performance with a total time of 27 hours, 3 minutes and 44 seconds! Envious yet? His latest record, ‘Ivory Tower’ features his single ‘You Can Dance’ and he’s also releasing an orchestral hip-hop album on June 6th.
