JMSN and Kastle have collaborated in a new track debut previewing Kastle’s upcoming album. JMSN’s got that voice and well.. Kastle kinda knows how to mix it. If this were a cup of coffee, Kastle’s finely roasted trap-infused grinds  would comprise the foundation of the cup. Of course we add a few tablespoons of JMSN’s lyrics which turn the drink into something more akin to a cubano or cafecito. Add whipped cream on top and stick it in the fridge and you end up with a great concoction of a track.

We’ll keep you posted about Kastle’s upcoming debut album.

We’ve got mixes that need exposure at the moment, and our staff’s debating whether it’s cool to pack them into this post, or separate them across separate ones. One remix is by FS Green – mixing a track by Szjerdene. The other is a chilled out Ryan Hemsworth mix of Rhye’s ‘Open.’ So, selfishly for the sake of convenience we’ve decided one post works just fine.

The basslines on Ryan’s remix are a source of chilled ambiance. Rhythmic, soulful beats along  with soothing, intimate vocals. What’s next is a track that’s truly put Ryan Hemsworth on our radar. His take of Frank Ocean is far superior than the original, combining layers of production finesse backing up Ocean’s oh so known lyrics.

FS Green next, a couple tracks that got us grooving and loving the intricate methodology of Green – in his mix of Szzjerdene’s ’4th Stranger’ as well as an earlier groovy beat ‘Tycoon Thug.”

The more you blog the more you succumb to simple truths. Charting the scene used to be a simple task in the 90′s. A pre-digital era where content-creators were limited to artists who could secure contracts with radio-affiliated labels.

Music is truly astrology at the moment, we’ve got a few clusters of stars that have recently emerged, all the while a few supernovas and galaxys have emerged over the celestial horizon. An ever-expanding limitless arena of music, full of facebook pages, bandcamps, soundcloud pages, and endless emails from pr agencies.

We’ll help you navigate the best we can. Here are a few stars tracks to aim your telescopes at.

813 – ‘Bibabo’

February 11th, 2013

This great track by 813 has reaffirmed our love for Russian producers. The man’s name is Alexander Goryachev, he’s teamed up with Slugabed’s new label ‘Activia Benz’ and has done collab with Bobby Tank lining up for a new EP – Recolor. Exciting stuff indeed. Bibabo is one of our favorites, despite being a bit older than the following recent tracks.

This week we’re pushing a few splendid beats. Snykro just released a new track titled Acceptance, and we dug up a track by Look Like that we simply couldn’t resist, it’s really too good. House-backed beats with sudden drops and soulful samples make the track an unbelievable listen.

SoundRemedy’s take on LDR: SoundRemedy has come up with a clever remix of Lana Del Rey’s ‘Videogames.’ We know what you’re thinking, another Lana Del Rey Remix?! No need to panic, this isn’t the trap your friend’s younger brother produced on his new laptop. SoundRemedy transforms the original into a fast trap-filled beat punched masterpiece.

Cashmere Cat’s Creation One of the latest remixes to drop by Norwegian producer Cashmere Cat – also known as Magnus August Høiberg.  In this release he’s combined various styles to form a bouncy fun mixture of a track – adding a new take with soulful basslines and a great vocal effects. Taking the stellar R&B original to a new place entirely, this track just fun to listen to.

License to Remix Alright, this Charlie Darker remix has been waiting far too long to make an appearance over here. Adele’s critically acclaimed Skyfall with an electro-house remake. The song has exploded in recent weeks and we just couldn’t resist sharing it with you. Charlie’s incredible remix does a perfect job of maintaining the original’s presence and lyrics while, of course, adding a completely new beat structure.
