mr. carmack “Grind”
January 22nd, 2013

Few things actually get me motivated to do shit whenever my day starts, the fear of “being thirty and broke” © Biggie , a quote from Lao Tzu that is emblazoned on my ceiling , Rula Jebreal and from now on mr .carmack “Grind”. Sampling a very inspirational Lex Luger interview , mr carmack manages to make a mellow and laid back track into something of a boost to the system and suprisingly yet each listen delivers the same boost. Ezzeeee
ChiefMacko: Best of 2012 {Part 1}
January 12th, 2013

Okay, so i realize we are 11 days into 2013 but i have been busy on a spiritual journey of sorts, a break from my usual just to sit back and take it ezeeee. So with that said i present a few gems from 2012. Special mention goes out to Medlar for “Terrell” which is possibly the best Tammi Terrell edit i have ever heard.
Medlar – Terrell

While we’re digging up past treasures, here’s a track from a couple years back that we only discovered a few months ago. A little late to the game, but the track packs as much punch as the very day it was created. Signaldrift is bliss, the two Milwaukee natives have made some tracks that will turn you in to a cat, you want to buy a boat and sail around the world contemplating the meanings of the stars and universe, as you sip your soy macchiato.
Daedelus – CALIFORNIA
April 11th, 2012

Ever been to a pre-party where people take turns at dj’ing? Everyone plugs in their ipod and plays a song then someone else gets on before you go out and hit the clubs? The problem with those is that there is always that guy who plays something that completely sucks the groove out of everyone. “Listen I don’t care what you say, I don’t care if we’re going to the club after this, you NEED TO LISTEN TO SOME BOB DYLAN!!” Always a downer…
Daedelus – CALIFORNIA

Except now we’re those guys, and you should probably just meet us at the bar because if you invite us over we’ll hijack that stereo and play Daedelus’ California and ruin everyone’s hype. Daedelus has somehow managed to capture that feeling you had last summer when you cruised down Highway 1 with the girl of your dreams and your best friends in your spaceship before you guys hit the boosters. Now your staring into the stars, admiring god’s work as you drift along on Jupiter’s rings and remember how miniscule we are among the galaxies. Daedelus’s California is beautiful and seems more apt for a space western thriller than the left coast state. But you really should listen to it now so you should just give us that aux jack…and I know we’re about to go rage but…JUST LISTEN TO IT!!
Ultra Preview
March 23rd, 2012

We flyin first class and sippin’ corona’s as we leave rainy Oregon for sunny South Beach and it’s obvious here at Everlasting that we OH SO BALLIN’ when we hit Ultra (Yes we drink alcohol for every post, it should be evident by now). The lineup is stacked like pancakes with big hitters like Skrillex, Tiesto and Pretty Lights just to name a few. But let us tell you where we’ll be for UMF so you can come and hang out and chill because we’re fun and affable.
/orders another corona
Friday Could Watch You Forever
It’ll be so easy for you to rage over at the main stage because Benny Bennassi is going to play Cinema and then Skrillex is going to dro-dro-drop the bass all over Cinema. And that’s fine, we won’t blame you for going over there. Sometimes you gotta chill out….brahhhhh. Walk the unbeaten path and mozy over for some Neon Indian and Pretty Lights when you’re feeling Terminally Chill, or else try out Mimosa, it’ll be cool like Mikhail BROhkorov.
/double fisting corona’s now
Saturday Tells Yousef to Give Me the Chocolates
Saturday we’ll be all over UMF Brasil to peep Zed’s Dead, Mt. Eden and Datsik with quick trips over to see Little Dragon. Lastly, we will have to advise you to see Fatboy Slim at the Main Stage because he’s still got it. After the show Everlasting Awesomeness is going over to Fool’s Gold after party for Catchdubs, Just Blaze and Flosstradamaus HERES THE LINK. Go ahead and just click that link right there and RSVP cause seriously, Lord Knows.
Sunday is Flying Lotus and SBTRKT
We will start the day by finally finishing our time machine. First thing we’ll do is use it to loop the 3:30PM-4:40PM Flying Lotus and SBTRKT set at the Live Stage for an eternity and there is really no good reason you shouldn’t be there either. Other than fears of getting caught in a time paradox. That would be unfortunate because the Live stage will keep it popping with Bassnectar to finish things off and it’s hard to watch him from the nefarious worm holes that result from time paradoxes.
Air Tycoon – ‘Oceans’
March 15th, 2012

Effortless miraculous and melodic beats comprise the wonder that is Air Tycoon. The eclectic mixture of samples, akin to hip-hop, chillstep, and some just purely scenic elements as the name ‘oceans’ itself conveys.. this is a mixture we seldom ignore. The album ‘Winter Purple’ is an excellent way to spend an evening, away from the many distractions of the universe.
