Shy fx has always been on the radar here at Everlasting Awesomeness. It happens that we are avid fans of UK dance music, we’ve always had some insight into the musical creations of Shy Fx – But, after some intense historical analysis, we’ve decided to repremand ourselves for not posting Shy Fx throughout the entirety of our existence. No, Shy Fx is not emerging, he’s not new, and if you do your homework you’re probably laughing cause you have his discography and are pointing at us in the face for posting stuff you’ve listened to 300 times in the car on the ride back from work. Sadly, it took a few friends needing advice on which shows to see at edc this year for me to realize we’ve never actually posted Shy Fx. WAIT WHAT? Yes. It’s that bad.
So if we see you in the street and you slap us in the face and ask us why we were so late in posting, we will gladly take it, apologize and buy you a drink, (and maybe try to seduce you…) Reggae infused drum n’ bass is exactly the musical intersection you’ll encounter with Shy Fx. Fast, fluid, energetic drum n’ bass that is incredibly easy to get down to. We’ve also posted a moombahton remix of Original Nuttah by (your) Boyfriend.

Camo & Krooked, drum and bass with some feeling and soul. If you’re new to drum and bass, or find it a little too fast or you haven’t quite attained a taste for it, I suggest you give these two a try.
Camo & Krooked’s brand of dnb is a little different. Similar to sounds like Sigma or even dnb style Alvin Risk, there’s definitely a melodic, bass-filled, heavy sound at hand, giving you a version of dnb with vocals, synths, dubstep style basslines, and a little liquid too.
They are winning MAD stuff, while touring they unknowingly won the Best World Producer & Best Album trophy at the Slovakian Drum & Bass Awards…
Still not interested? Think back to oh say 10 years ago… Memories of say… ak47′s and pp7′s and ODDJOB? these two made music for the new Goldeneye videogame. nuff said

Just in case you missed it, Rusko’s latest track ‘Everyday’ has anyone and everyone talking dubstep. This track reminds me why Rusko remains one of my favs. His versatility and creativity and overall production genius are attributes that few can match. His latest work derives elements from drum and bass and classic techno -dubstep perfectly infused with a variety of formats. He’s done rap, reggae, and r&b to name a few, pushing dubstep beyond a distinct genre and into something that appeals and connects with everyone.
While I may have discovered Rusko completely on accident (checking out the openers before Major Lazer) I learned a great lesson that will forever outlive time. When it comes to shows, it’s always a good idea showing up just a little early. Well done Rusko, Well Done.

Belgian drum and bass champ Netsky is exploding once again on the DnB scene, his name is Boris Daenen, and he just released an amazing drum and bass album last month titled “Netsky.” In fact, it’s turned out to be a major success and does a remarkable job at bridging the divide between drum n’ bass and electro. Netsky’s known for liquid drum n’ bass also called liquid funk, a branch of dnb known for more disco house influences. It’s a little less heavy compared to most dnb out there, at times mixing in vocals and friendly elements that differentiate it from some of the darker varieties. A little cream and sugar if you prefer.
